Ohio follows federal requirements under the Worker Adjustment Retraining Notification Act which provides protection to workers, their families, and communities by requiring employers to provide written notice at least 60 calendar days in advance of covered plant closings and mass layoffs to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services’ Dislocated Worker Unit (Rapid Response Unit).
