Are you a business that has had to make the hard decision to furlough or layoff valued employees?
Are you at a point that you are ready to bring people back and/or make permanent layoffs?
Rapid Response is a program to assist workers facing job loss due to downsizing or closures. Rapid Response can assist in a layoff of any size business or any number of employees. When an employer must lay off workers, there are several steps to take in order to address the needs of the affected workers and the community.
The Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio (WDBCO) & OhioMeansJobs Columbus – Franklin County Business Solutions teams can help you with making the best decision in helping your employees to transition for success. We can provide live virtual assistance for your employees to provide career counseling, unemployment information, and information on resources that can assist them in preparing for their next steps.
We offer employers and impacted employees:
Coordinated unemployment information
Priority access to Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) funded training and On-the-Job Training
On-site and virtual workshops to help employers connect with job seekers
Connections to local employers who are hiring candidates with the impacted employees’ skill sets
